Self-Portrait

There is nothing cuter than the perspective of a 4 year old. After finding out that his Aunt FaFa (me) was pregnant, Cooper decided to draw a picture of Aunt FaFa and the baby in her tummy...so here it is...a picture of me with a baby in my tummy.

Earlier when my three nephews first heard the news that Aunt FaFa and Uncle B were expecting, they asked me what we were going to name our baby.  To which I replied, "What do you think we should name the baby?"  Tyler quickly pipped up and said, "Baby FaFa".  So, that is it...before we knew she was a girl, her nickname was "Baby FaFa".  I love it!!  

Who will she look like?

The other day I came across a few baby pictures of Kris and I and it stirred me to wonder what our little Ryan will look like when she arrives. We've all done it, looked at baby pictures and curiously imagine what or who our kids will resemble. One thing I do know, she will most likely have a head full of hair! I wanted to share a few baby photos of us with my fellow friends and family...only time will tell who this little one will take after!

22 Weeks...

This week marks our 22nd week of pregnancy. Over halfway there!! Baby Ryan moves so much and just the other night we were able to see her moving and kicking on the outside!! Up until now it has only been something we can feel, but now it is visual too! I think of all my favorite things about being pregnant, this is it...being able to experience her moving and kicking in there. I'm enjoying every bit of it and definitely will miss this part of pregnancy once she arrives.

A Night of Decisions...

So last night, Kris and I went to Babies R Us to register for Ryan Elizabeth. Having done my homework on a few baby items and a checklist in hand, we set out to begin our registry. In the back of my mind I was thinking this would be like registering for our wedding (over 9 years ago), but it really wasn't! Both Kris and I were prepared for this evening of fun, but little did we know all the options out there and the decisions we would have to make! It is so overwhelming for a first time mom and dad to have that little scanner in hand and choose what you think is needed for something you've never even done before! We did have a good time, but before we even left the first section "Infant Care" Kris was tired! It was obvious we both were in for a longer evening than we had thought. Needless to say, we both endured and enjoyed ourselves as much as possible...I later came home and completed the registry online, which was delightful to have a sense of accomplishment on this project. I must give it up to all the moms who have plowed this road before me and taken on this challenge of registering...my hats go off to you! And if you have advise on what is needed or what is simply a scam and unpractical, I'm open to your feedback!

Doggy's Day of Pampering...

Today was an infamous day for Tucker...yes, it was his semi-annual day of pampering. As we pulled up this morning to Pooches, he began whimpering and whining not wanting to go in at all. It amazes me that even before I turn on the street he is already very aware of where we are going. This is the day that he dreads...the day of grooming!! I dropped him off and away to work I went. Boy, was he excited to see me come 6:00 pm tonight! This cute little guy no longer is shaggy and shabby...tonight he posed and let me capture his new look. He's enjoying his evening at home and appears to have recovered from his treacherous day.
