Ryan's New Thing

With crawling daily becoming more and more effective, we've found that at nap time Ryan doesn't simply lay down and fall asleep like she has so easily done in the past. It is not uncommon for us to hear her in her crib talking for at least 30 minutes. But now, there is a new twist! She's figured out how to crawl around her crib and pull herself to her knees to reach her mobile or chew on the crib railing. So, then she's stuck...in a kneeling position in her crib. When we go in to get her and lay her back down, she's as happy as can be proud of her new accomplishments! So, here are a few pics of our newest crib crawler...notice the chew marks on her crib railing and the mobile pieces (monkeys and green figs) laying in her crib!

Ryan's First Swim

This past weekend, we purchased the cutest little inflatable giraffe pool for our yard. So yesterday we blew it up and went out to enjoy a relaxing afternoon in Ryan's new pool! There was no hesitation in getting in and her little arms and legs were moving as she waded in her new toy.

After such a great experience in her little pool, we decided to head out to the real deal, a big people pool! Without any reluctancy, Ryan Elizabeth went straight to daddy and they began swimming around. We got her a little starfish to float around in, which was a big hit! She kept humming the whole time she was in there...it was really cute. We then headed to the fountains where she enjoyed time sitting and chewing on a pool toy. All in all we all three had a relaxing time this afternoon!

Matthew & Heidi's Wedding!

On Saturday, May 22nd Heidi and Matthew got hitched! It was such a grand celebration of their two lives and a new addition to our family...we had a fabulous time and Heidi looked gorgeous!! Here's to both of you and your new lives together...what a beautiful reflection your wedding and relationship is of our Lord!

10 Years Celebrated!

As ya'll know, this month Kris and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary...so we headed out to a few of our favorite dinning places to mark this monumentous occasion! Alissa stayed home with Little Bigs and we enjoyed an evening of yummy delights! First, we headed to PF Changs at Utica Square for dinner and then off to the Riverwalk for dessert and coffee at my favorite place, The Melting Pot! It was a perfect evening with my sweet hubby! Thanks for 10 wonderful years!

Crawling: Ryan's Way

Ryan's on the move! She's not exactly on all fours, but she definitely gets to where she wants to go. And once she's arrvied at her destination of choice, she gets so thrilled! I love how she scooches on her tummy and then flaps her little arms and legs up and down...precious!

By the way, no one was injured during the filming and making of this video although at the end it appears that there may have been an injury...no worries!

Ryan's 9 Month Photo Adventure

It's hard to believe that Ryan Elizabeth is already 9 months (almost 10 now) and a few weeks ago we ventured out into a field and gravel road to snap a few pics of her cuteness...she is so precious!! And beautiful!

Pageant Wave...Not Quite

We've been trying now for a while to get Ryan to wave "hello" and "good-bye". If you haven't noticed already, she always has her little hands and arms up in most of her pictures. She's been waving randomly, but in the last few days we've noticed it's starting to become intentional! This morning during breakfast I was able to catch her doing it on camera! Yippee skippy! Here she is...miss America!

"I Do"...Celebrating 10 Years!

It's hard to believe that the past 10 years have come and gone so quickly. On Saturday, May 20th at 7:00 pm in Stillwater, OK I married my best friend...there are so many memories that rush to my mind as I reminisce about that beautiful, picture perfect day. Some things I will always remember...

* Seeing my hubby's face for the first time as I began walking down the aisle with my dad.

* The first announcement of "Mr. & Mrs. Kris Jantzen", my heart was thrilled to finally have his name!

* Savoring the first few minutes after we exited the sanctuary and it hit us that we were both hitched! That was a sweet moment standing in the hall of the church together...just the two of us.

* Going on our honeymoon and just the two of us being together with uninterrupted time! Oh, how I loved that beautiful week in Jackson Hole, WY with my hubby!

* Beginning our new lives together in Tulsa...everything was so fresh and new. No more having to say "good-bye" and being dropped off at my apartment.

* And one of my favorites is sharing our dreams together...I love dreaming with Kris! It's one of my most favorite things!

So, here is to the love of my life...thank you for loving me unconditionally, sharing your life, dreams, and heart with me. And most of all, thank you for treasuring and cherishing me! I'm so thankful for you and all that we've been through, the ways we've grown in the last 10 years together. There is no one else I'd rather spend my life with...I truly look forward to all that God has in store for us! Thank you for sweet Ryan Elizabeth too, she's truly added so much to our lives that words can't express. What a blessing and honor to have her in our family. I love you dearly and am so glad you're my hubby!
