These Days continued...

(Side note, not sure why the spaces are present in the post below, but that's how it is...also, can't figure out how to put captions under pics or I'd be doing it. I guess there's always something to be learning!) Here are the videos I was talking about. They wouldn't load on the last entry.

These Days...

This month is almost over...my most favorite month of the year! However it has been a WONDERFUL month and I'm ever so thankful for the month of June. Here are a few of my favorites this month.

-Ryan's learned to take off her pants and diaper after waking up, so yesterday this is how I found her...

-Our neighbors moved BUT we got to see Ace and Mimi (aka Carolyn) yesterday and here is a little video of the two of them singing to me as I came out of a shop...

-We put up Ryan's little giraffe pool, which she really enjoys. However she stays in one spot and doesn't really "swim" around, but that's okay. I guess it's just a glorified outdoor bathtub in her mind.

-On our way home last weekend from Uncle Matthew's b-day party Ryan kept asking for her glasses. So finally I fished around and found them in the backseat. She put them on and within minutes was out. It was 11:00 pm. Not sure why she needed the glasses, but oh well...she slept!

-And best of all, we got another nephew (or cousin)!! Asher was born so we headed out to TN to spend time with my sister and her family. Ryan loves playing with her cousins "The Buddies" and played in the rain for the first time. Each time she woke up she'd always ask for the "budd-tees" to play. They had a grand old time being kids...we love you guys!

My Birthday Eve

Since tonight is my b-day eve Kris and Ryan started off the celebration with homemade pizza and then we headed off to Braum's to have ice cream. It was fabulous! Afterward, we headed to Target and Lowe's to get a few things and then home again. Upon our arrival we noticed a package for me on the porch (a pair of Tom's from my mom-in-law)! My first pair and a perfect gift! We finished the evening by opening up part of my hubby's gift - a gift certificate to Apertures (a local photography studio) and there's more tomorrow!! Yippee!! I just love my b-day...so tomorrow my parents are coming, lunch out with the family and then a hot dinner date with my hubby! Thanks everyone for making my b-day such a wonderful time! You really know how to make a girl feel loved. (Ryan enjoyed Birthday cake ice cream...and this was the best pic I had of both of us. She doesn't look at the camera when we take pics but she does say "cheese".)

Introducing Asher Andrew Hilliard

He's here! Asher is our newest nephew and we are so excited to have him in our lives. Last week, Kris, Ryan and I headed to TN to see this little guy weighing a little over 6 lbs. We played, loved on him, and took a lot of pictures. Here are a few from our many photo sessions.

Today...

What a delightful day! We celebrated Kris' b-day having dinner with The Wallaces. Ryan and I got to spend the morning watching Wade (of which we turned into a photo session) and this afternoon Ryan discovered Tucker's water bowl outside, which lead to us filling her bucket with water. She LOVED playing in the water! Her dress was drenched before we came in for naptime. All in all, it was a wonderful day! I love days like these...

"Worm" Friend or Foe?

My mom purchased these little worm magic things from a store recently for each of the grand kids. I left mom and Ryan in the car so I could run into a store to pick something up. When I returned, Gee Gee and Ryan were entertaining themselves with this worm! Ryan liked it yet at the same time wasn't sure about it. This video captures the excitement. What you don't see is my mom laughing so hard she could hardly breath. That in and of itself was too funny!

Ryan's 22 months...

Today, June 6th is Ryan's 22 month mark. What a journey of fun and laughter it has been! Each day brings smiles to both Kris and my face as we watch her be Ryan Elizabeth. It's hard to believe that in 2 months we will be celebrating her 2 year birthday! Time does fly...

Ryan loves:

- Playing outside!! She constantly asks to go "outside" in her sweet little voice, whether rain or shine, 70 degrees or 99 degrees, she doesn't care!

- Talking! And most of the time it is non-stop. She will say "Mommy..."and then continue in Ryan talk which is yet to be interpreted but one day we will know. She can say so many words and very clearly too. Her favorite words are "Boz (a DVD character she loves), clock, moon (meaning balloon or the moon outside), boots (day or night she wants to put her shoes on and then proceeds to stomp around the house listening to them make noise), swing, park, ducks, gurls (the girls next door), Ace (our neighbor too), car and baby (of which she loves both and can be found with one in each hand). She also enjoys telling Tucker "get back" and "down". We aren't sure where she gets that from. "Hands" is said routinely at our home and it is something Ryan loves saying when she wants her hands washed.
- Going thru her flashcards telling us all the words she knows like elephant, clock, truck, choo choo train, banana, grapes, airplane, peas, and the list goes on...

- Being at Grandma and Grandpa's House! She stayed for 4 nights/5 days with Jay and Karen while Kris and I enjoyed time away. She did wonderful and came back spoiled...

- "PawPaw" and "GeeGee" is what she is calling my parents.

- Anytime she sees a camera her first word is "Cheese". I wonder why?

- Sleep! It's still a favorite past-time of Ryan's and she asks for it! There have been countless times at the store and she will say "night night" or when it's around bedtime she will tell us "night night" and then walk into her room and hang on her crib rail. It's a favorite and we are thankful!

- Is so friendly and loves waving and saying "hi" and "bye" to almost everyone she sees. It's great seeing the smiles and faces of people we meet light up as she gives them her attention.

- Starbucks Iced Lattes...yes, Ryan enjoys coffee warm or cold. :)

It's hard to capture all the sweet things Ryan does daily, but this is a start. Today she came up to me and said, "Iss Iss" and then proceeded to lean in and give me a kiss. Love getting her sweet kisses...

So here's to you Sweet Baby Girl Ryan Elizabeth...we love you dearly and daily treasure all you do!

Happy June 1st!

It's one of my most favorite times of the year...I simply LOVE the month of JUNE! And here it is...so faithful in coming the same time each year. What a delight to share this fun summer with my sweet little lady, Ryan Elizabeth! Here's to this fabulous month...and to my sweet little Bigzees! I love her so much! :)
