An Evening of Leisure

It is hard to think about what we used to do before Ryan joined our family...tonight the three of us simply hung out...we ate dinner together, watched a movie, and our dear friend Erin came by to drop off Ryan's newborn photos. Ryan definitely makes our days and nights more fun. Tonight was truly a perfect night of leisure.

We Love Dr. Tran!

It's been exactly 3 weeks since Ryan Elizabeth came into this world. Today, we got to see Dr. Tran and had to capture a picture of the three of us. Words can't express how much we have enjoyed Dr. Tran and the last 9 month journey we have embarked on. It is hard to believe that it has gone by so quickly...today Ryan got to say "hello" again to the person who helped bring her into our lives. We love our Dr. Tran!

Girlfriends, Food, and Utica Square...

Yesterday Ryan had her first taste of shopping with mommy! On this special day, Ryan got to enjoy not only shopping, but she also got to enjoy the afternoon with her friend Tatum and her mom Sonya! We had a fabulous time and found ourselves sitting outside at Utica Square savoring a tasty lunch from Queenies. What a delightful time the four of us had!

Dinner with Daddy

Up to this point, every feeding has been a Mommy and Ryan event. However, tonight we crossed over into a new world...Ryan had dinner with Daddy for the first time! She loved it! As soon as the bottle hit her mouth, she was chowing down. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Ryan or Daddy. This opens up a whole new world for Ryan, Daddy, and Mommy...one we are all three eager to discover!

Ryan's Day Out in T-Town!

Last night we went on our first walk with Miss Ryan. It was a beautiful last summer evening, the cool breeze and evening sounds made for a delightful stroll in our neighborhood. We captured the moment, but in one picture there is no Ryan, so Kris took a photo of she and I for the record.

Ryan's first day of work with daddy and mommy was today! This morning we headed up to Kris' office and then off to the orthodontic office to say hello to everyone. Miss Dana loved hanging out with Ryan and even took a business call with Ryan in tote! I'm sure Ryan did her part in helping to answer the financial question. All in all, we had a fun time and of course everyone loves Ryan! Who wouldn't? She is so precious and lovable! And to top off our eventful day on the town, Ryan and I made our first visit together to the grocery store to pick up a few things on our way home! What a busy day!

A week ago Thursday, Erin came over and we did a newborn photo shoot of Miss Ryan Elizabeth at 1 week old. More photos are on the way, but I couldn't resist...here is a sneak peak that E just posted and I had to share!

A Night of Firsts...

Tonight Kris and I went out for our first dinner date and Ryan got to stay home with her first babysitter, Aunt Lissy! This was a night of "firsts" for Ryan and us. Ryan enjoyed her time with Aunt Lissy...her night started out with a bath and then ended with watching "Finding Nemo", her first movie, and falling asleep on the couch with Lissy. I'm not sure who had more fun, Ryan or mommy and daddy. Oh and one more thing, Ryan lost her umbilical cord too! What an exciting evening...thanks Aunt Lissy for watching Ryan Elizabeth!

This past Thursday, Ryan Elizabeth experienced her first night out with mommy and the girls of "Girl's Night". We went to Rib Crib and then finished our lovely evening at Starbucks for a delightful time with girlfriends accompanied with coffee, sweet treats and all on the backdrop of a beautiful summer evening. Ryan loved her time out and can't wait until next month for Girl's Night!

The Best Day of Our Lives!

August 6th, 2009 the best day of our lives! Ryan Elizabeth joined our family and there are not words to describe the emotion and overall joy that invaded our lives on this special day. Seeing her enter the world and hearing her first breath of air is nothing short of a miracle. Surrounded by family and friends, she was welcomed into this world with open arms. Thank you to an awesome God who is truly good...our hearts are overwhelmed with His goodness and He continues to exceed our expectations, desiring to bless our lives beyond measure. Life is good...

What is it about newborns and taking their pictures without clothes? There is just something so simple and cute about these little miracles...after our photo shoot with Erin for Ryan's newborn pictures (which will be posted soon) there was one photo we wanted to get yet didn't have time. Yesterday the conditions were right...Ryan had a full stomach and was completely out! So, the opportunity presented itself for my own little photo shoot...here she is!
