Yesterday, Ryan was so much fun!! We laughed, played, danced, and Ryan got a cell phone from her daddy...at only 7 1/2 months old!! She LOVES it!!

Fun Days with Friends!

The last week, Ryan and I have kept ourselves royally entertained hanging out with our friends! Bronson (9 months) and Tatum (15 months), along with Ryan, have enjoyed many play dates together last week and this week. I dearly love my sweet friends Sonya & Renee! Here is to our last week and for many more play dates! I love you both and your babies!! We are so blessed to be living this season of our lives together! Love you girls!!

Yogurt & DahDah

Ryan (and Tucker) ate yogurt today for the first time. She loved it!! And continued to open her mouth even before I was ready to give her the next bite! Yummy to her tummy! Oh, how Tucker loves Ryan eating baby food now...he is always eager for something to fall!

Our Snowed-In Day

Yesterday it was 70 degrees, today 30 degrees with 7 inches of snow. Crazy, but here in Oklahoma we are used to it. Being snowed in left us with not many options, but somehow we found a way to stay entertained! Ryan was a sure treat today and made for a fun day. She and I played in her room, made silly faces, ate yogurt for the first time (with Tucker's help), cleaned out some of my old purses, watched March Madness, saw PawPaw, and practiced talking! It was all and all a great day!

Here's to Oklahoma's last snow and our last day to be shut in! First day of Spring...we are more than ready! :)

Now that Ryan is sitting up so well, she always wants to help mommy when changing diapers and clothes. She reaches for EVERYTHING! And somehow finds a way to get it...

Ryan's Silly Face

A few nights ago, Kris, Ryan and I were just hanging out. She started doing this silly squinty face to us...it was so cute!! After doing it 10 times I decided to run and get my camera and catch it on video. Of course, she didn't do it but only a few more times...but I'm thankful we got a little bit of it on film. Enjoy our sweet Little Bigs!

Ryan's Favorite Things at 7 months!

Last Saturday, March 6th, Ryan turned 7 months. What a wonderful 7 months this has been! Oh, we'd never have imagined how delightful and joyful she is. Ryan is truly a blessing and a perfect gift from our Father! Capturing this moment, I'd like to share what Ryan's favorites are thus far...

Ryan's Favorites:

1. Babbling and squealing! She loves to say "dah dah", "bah bah", and so much more. Everyday it seems like she is saying something new and different. Each morning she wakes up talking and squealing. It is so sweet. Laying on her changing table she will laugh and talk up a storm.

2. Smiling & Laughing. Ryan loves looking at herself and us in the mirror. Laughter is a part of our everyday life. There is nothing like it. She is always smiling (even when nursing) and giving us her sweet looks.

3. Eating...mommy milk and baby food! To date, she's had rice cereal, oatmeal, pears, bananas, avocado, apples, carrots, peas, and Dr. Pepper (Kris gave her some last night at dinner) :)

4. Rolling over and sitting up...yes, we've officially accomplished these two skills. We go from front to back, but have yet to reverse. Crawling? Not yet...

5. Bath time . Ryan LOVES her baths!! She eats the wash rag, chews on the cup we use to rinse her off, kicks and splashes like crazy! We are all wet when bath time is finished.

6. Being outside with Grandpa! Outside is where she belongs! Grandpa and Ryan have enjoyed the outdoors several times lately and with the weather warming up it will only increase.

7. Traveling. Ryan's gone to Chattanooga, TN (2 times), Dallas, Phoenix, OKC, and Stillwater ( too many to count). She is a great traveler!

8. Johnny Jump Up. It's one of her favorites (along with her exersaucer). Jumping, swinging, bouncing, and anything of the like is a fav!

9. Singing along with her favorite songs "When Mommy Wasn't Looking" and "Bigs Bigs Bigs of the Jungle". She loves her two songs!! Written just for her!

10. Sleeping!!! Ryan still loves her sweet sleep! That and her thumb go hand in hand. She's an awesome sleeper (mommy and daddy are soooo thankful!). We can't forget Sophie (her giraffe)!! LOVES HER!!!!

Enjoying Greats & Grands!

Ryan is so blessed to see her grandparents and Great Granny often! Stillwater and OKC are not that far and we are blessed to see family at least once a month. Here are some pictures from some of our recent visits.

TuTu Cute!!

My sweet friend, Olivia, made Ryan the cutest tutu and onesie for when she is a year old. With the size of our little chica waiting until 1 year for her to wear the outfit is not going to work. I tried it on the other day. It fit, perfectly. Ryan enjoyed eating the tutu and spitting up on it along with grabbing it with her little fingers. We had fun, but as you can see, by the end of our photo shoot she was DONE! Oh, I love this little ballerina!

The Big "D" and Ryan E

With all of our travels, I'm a little behind in my blogging...but no worries! I'm determined to update ya'll with some sweet pictures of our little Ryan Elizabeth and the latest in our lives.

About two weeks ago, our family headed to Dallas. Kris had some meetings while Ryan and I got to hang out with one of my dear friends from OSU and a bridesmaid in our wedding. Ashley and her husband Scott opened their home to us! We had a wonderful time catching up on the last 7 years and also meeting their little Samantha (3 months old). We went out to eat (the first for Samantha) and ordered in too! It was truly a delightful trip! Ash, I love you sister!! You truly are such a blessing in my life and I treasure our friendship more than you know!

Bunny Catchers!

At my grandparent's house, there are bunnies that continually come up next to their porch to eat and just hang out. My nephews tried so hard to catch those little things. Tyler crafted a box with a carrot inside and a string to pull the pole (which was holding the box) causing it to fall on the bunny, which was to be inside. We never did see a bunny go into this contraption! One warm sunny morning, my dad and nephews jumped into the golf cart on a hunt for bunnies. As you will see, they had gloves on, a cup of carrots, and were in disguise with a palm branch strapped to the back of the golf cart. This was one of the funniest things I've ever seen!

Sunny Phoenix, AZ

This past week, Ryan and I flew out to Phoenix, AZ to enjoy time with our sweet family. Janette and the three buddies met us out there along with my parents. My grandparents, Papa & Genny, have lived out there for as long as I can remember. So, we took some time to enjoy them and celebrating all that they mean to us. My grandfather is 92 years old and was in the hospital and nursing home during our stay, so it really meant a lot to be there to see him and for Ryan to meet her Great Grandpa. It may have been our last time...for that my heart is sad...making it hard to leave.

While there, we did a lot of fun things! We stayed in a retirement community called Leisure World, went on golf cart rides, visited the Phoenix Zoo, western town, went rock climbing, and had plenty of time with Papa and Genny too. One cool thing we did was go to Organ Pizza where you eat yummy pizza and watch a man play a huge organ with pipes all over the room, etc. It was very entertaining! Ryan did okay on her first airplane. It was a little rough on the take-off and landing, which I'd been told, but overall it was a win.

After our visit out there, it really hit home the importance of family. There is truly nothing greater outside of our relationship with Jesus than sweet family! God has blessed me so much with wonderful parents, siblings, grandparents, and in-laws. I'm forever thankful and blessed beyond measure for these treasured friendships. They are truly all that matters in this life. I love you all! :)
