Snow in T-Town!

So, only a few days ago it was in the 60's and today we had around 6-8 inches of snow! Crazy, it seems the last few months weather has been strange here in Tulsa, extremely warm and then the opposite, ice storm or heavy snow...well, I went out with Tucker today and captured the winter blizzard and a cute picture of "the pucky" playing in it.

Daddy's first...

Tonight Kris and I were sitting on the couch watching March Madness and baby Ryan Elizabeth started kicking and moving like crazy!! So, tonight was the first time that Kris was able to feel her moving! It was so cool for him to finally be able to feel what I've been experiencing for a few weeks now...this is only the beginning of "firsts" for us...it was a priceless moment!

Okay...speaking of Baby Ryan Elizabeth...it is really different calling her that name! We have been so used to saying "baby Jantzen" or "baby" that now when we say Ryan it sounds weird! I talked with a few friends and they said this is normal. Strange sounding, I know, but thought I would share this thought for those of you who have yet to experience pregnancy. We still absolutely love the name!!!!! And can't wait to meet her!

Big on the Pig...and Bird!

Okay, so this past week I was in Charleston, SC with Alissa and Kris visiting Jackie and her family. We had a wonderful time! While there we stopped at a Piggly Wiggly grocery store to pick up a few things...we left with Piggly Wiggly shirts! We had to capture the moment and Noa Jane is there to help us in her chickie shirt and thumb in her favorite place...the back of the shirts say "I'm big on the pig". Silly, we know...

As I was uploading pictures of our trip, I came across a classic one of me with the Red Robin bird that my friend E took during our monthly Girl's Night outings...very cute, I know! (By the way, baby is in my tummy in both of these pics...she's making memories early!)

We're Growing!

To think that we are at the halfway mark is amazing!! In 20 weeks or less we will meet Baby Jantzen!! We are thrilled!! Over the past few months, I've had Kris take a few photos of our growth and wanted to share...

The past week I've noticed significant growth in the belly! It is amazing how there is not much of a change and then all of the sudden there it is! It seems like daily my belly changes, which is fun to watch! I've really enjoyed being pregnant and continue to feel her moving more and more...it seems that she moves the most when I'm still, quiet, or laying down, which is rare in Jenn's world!

Baby Jantzen Is a Girl!

Yes...you heard right! At our 18 week ultrasound appointment on March 5th, we found out that Baby Jantzen is a GIRL! Yippy skippy! Since baby was not completely cooperating, our technician had a difficult time confirming the gender...so she is 90% confident that Baby Jantzen is a girl! That's good enough for me to let the nursery planning begin...this is so exciting!

Baby Jantzen's First Photo Shoots...

Each time that we have been to the doctor for our monthly checks, we have been blessed to get ultrasound pictures too! So below are our first two appointments...to see how quickly Baby Jantzen is changing in 4 weeks is such a miracle! To think all of this takes place inside of me without me doing anything is amazing! God truly knits us together in our mother's womb making us perfectly and wonderfully made in His image and His likeness for His unique purposes for our lives!

So Much To Be Thankful For...

Kris and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting! We went to the doctor this week for our 18 week ultrasound appointment and found out that we will be having a Baby Girl! It was so amazing to watch her yawning, moving, kicking, dancing, waving, and being so playful in there! I've just now began feeling her move just a little, but it is still so faint...how precious this time has been so far! This entire pregnancy has been such a blessing! From the beginning we have continued to see the faithfulness of God...His peace, His presence, and His goodness! Words can't express how sweet this time has been...

This past Thanksgiving I heard someone say that it would be the BEST Thanksgiving you have had so far...it was that weekend that Kris and I found out we were pregnant...it was Sunday, November 30th! Our hearts leaped for joy! Of course feelings of fear and uncertainty tried to sneak in, but we have been quick throughout this entire pregnancy to praise the Lord and stand on His Word; rebuking those thoughts that are not Truth and reminding ourselves of His Word and His Truth!

God's timing is perfect...this past fall the Lord has been preparing our hearts for starting a family again...the gentle ways He has worked in my heart and Kris' heart have been so tender and sweet...He truly is a personal God who knows us better than we know ourselves! What a testimony of His love for you and I! He is a Perfect Father!
