Pumpkin Patch

Today, PawPaw came to town for a short visit...we had a delightful lunch and then headed out to the local pumpkin patch for some fun. Ryan Elizabeth loved the little pig, chickens, ponies, llama, ram, and goats. One little goat I think nibbled on her finger, which upset her...but she recovered and we moved on. What a fun time it was and great picture moments for mommy! Oh, we just love her little sweetness so much and daily continue to be overwhelmed with what joy and delight she has brought into our lives.

Miss Piggy

This year I've been hunting for the perfect Halloween costume for Ryan Elizabeth. And after much searching, my mother-in-law and I found this at a consignment shop (not in her size)...so thanks to eBay we were able to get the Squiggly Piggy outfit! Ryan wasn't so sure of it (as you can see below) and the picture taking adventure consisted of mostly tears and crying. In the midst of it all, we still captured a few pics and have definitely recorded the moment of Ryan's 2nd Halloween.

A Day of Firsts...

This morning my neighbors, Carolyn and Ace, and Ryan and I headed to play in the play area at the mall! It was Ryan's first time to play in an area like this and she loved it! She practiced climbing the stairs, crawling thru tunnels, sliding down the slide, and riding her first merry-go-round! She wasn't quit sure about that...but endured it for mommy to take some pictures.

Ryan's A Girly Girl...No Doubt!

It's confirmed (as if we need any more proof) that Ryan is officially a girly girl. Tonight she carried around one of my old purses and is in love with it!! Bags, purses, car keys, make-up, hair supplies (which daily are things she goes thru in the bathroom as she helps mommy get ready for the day) are a few of her favorite things! And I'm certain it will only become more evident as time progresses.














Oh, and did we tell you that Ryan is a knee walker? Not yet walking on her feet, but she has mastered walking around on her knees! It's the cutest thing! Here's a video of her on the move, with her purse of course! :)

Ryan's New Car!

Isn't it the job of grandmas and grandpas to spoil their grandchildren? Well, I must say that we have two sets of grandparents that have excelled in this arena. This past weekend was another example of how "spoiled" little Ryan Elizabeth really is...Grandma & Grandpa Jantzen got her a new car...and...a cell phone! What else does a girl want? We really had a fun time visiting OKC and look forward to our next trip!

"Bath" Time

It's so amazing how much these little ones catch onto things...Ryan is talking so much now and continues to impress us with what she knows. Over the weekend she started saying "bah" which in her words is "bath". She loves her bath-time and even tries to rub her tummy with lotion when we are doing it to her...so sweet!

Last weekend, we headed out to eat with Alissa and Justin and took a picture of our time at Bakers Street, which is a fun place to eat...it was so windy (as you can tell). Ryan has this obsession with purses/bags (not sure who she gets that from). Anytime she sees a purse or bag on the floor she will immediately start going thru it taking things out and then putting them bag in. Laundry is no different...she loves to help me sort (or unsort) the laundry baskets! I've found things hidden in the clothes too (like her little bracelet).

Tonight Ryan and Daddy enjoyed scooting around on her lion. She loved it and so did her Daddy! :)

We still aren't walking, but she is standing more and for longer periods of time. It won't be long. At 14 months now it is bound to be in her near future.

State Fair...

This year, Ryan Elizabeth went to the state fair, not once, twice, but THREE times!! Yes, we are a little crazy...Aunt Lissy, Little Bigs, and I went on opening night for free and got unlimited food, drinks, and rides with our tickets! It was awesome!! The next day, we went back with Renee and Bronson. Then yesterday our family of three headed to the fair and enjoyed our time.

Ryan loved the animals and made such cute little sounds every time she heard a cow or animal make a sound. During one of our trips to the petting zoo, a little goat thought Ryan had some food and nippled on her finger...she wasn't sure what to think about it. And yes, I did let her try various fair foods and by far her favorite...carmel apples! She sampled corndogs, popcorn, funnel cake, Indian taco, and a hot dog over her three trips to the fair.

All in all, we had a wonderful time and it was pure joy watching her take in all the sites and sounds that come with the fair. Until next year...we are all faired out!
