Chicken B-Day Celebration

Last week we spent a few days in Texas with all my siblings and their families for the funeral of our Granny. While there we enjoyed our sweet time together! One memorable event was eating at Babe's and celebrating my oldest brother's b-day (which isn't until Feb. 20th the big 40!) but we had to celebrate it Babe's Style, which is shown below. Jonathan was a great sport! And the nephews and nieces loved it!!

Car Time & Ryan's Entertainment

Over the last few weeks, I've collected a few pictures of Ryan during our drive-time together. She is quit entertaining! Now, more than ever, she talks (or sings) while we drive whether you are talking or singing with her doesn't matter. She loves to hear herself jabber. The other day I was driving and caught her sucking her thumb while wearing glasses, upside down. And her fascination with baby wipes continues...she normally likes to suck on them, but just last week she was wearing it as a hat on her head. Needless to say, I can't capture every sweet and funny thing she does, but I sure do my best. Here are a few.

Coming Next Month...

Ryan Elizabeth on the local news. Today she and I recorded a TV special on healthy grocery shopping on a budget! She was a star! And is now a local celebirty! We'll keep you posted on the time and date. It will be airing on Fox 23 News! So here's to our local girl! She looked like a million bucks today...so proud of her! :)

Ryan helping with Tucker

Lately we've been letting Ryan help us around the house with day to day activities. This morning I let her help me feed Tucker, so now it is a regular occurrence for her. It took a little bit for the job to be completed, but she loves doing her part! Here's a peek of what it's like for Ryan to help feed Tucker.

One more thing, after every nap and each morning the first thing she asks for is "Cucker". It's so cute! Then she points to the floor from her crib and says "puppy". So sweet. When we get home from being gone the first things she wants to do is get Tucker out of his crate and with such excitement! It's precious.

Uh Oh!

Years ago my sister picked up an antique baby doll crib and enjoyed having it for her doll collection...with three boys it was bound to have an "event" happen that it barely survived. With pieces in hand, we brought it back to OK and had Jay (Grandpa) put it back together again. At Christmas we got it back...she loves spending time putting the rail up and down and placing her babies in there (along with anything else she finds). Well, on New Year's Eve we hear Ryan make a fussy noise from her room...upon entering we find her having tried to crawl into her baby's crib and "uh oh" she sank! She just sat in there waiting for us to rescue her.

Today, we were playing and Ryan kept putting her baby's pacifier in her mouth after it didn't fit in her baby's mouth...no worries, her thumb is still her favorite!

Playtime with Daddy...

The other day I heard Kris and Ryan in her room playing...it is always interesting to sneak in to see what they are both up to. I truly wonder who has more fun sometimes, Ryan or Daddy? Anyway, this is what I saw when I entered in on their playtime (swim diaper on head!). She loves her Daddy! And one more thing...Ryan loves to play with the remote controls, she picks them up and then points them to the TV...and often times something happens! She thinks it's great!

Happy Birthday Jesus, Granny, and Mom!

What a blessing and joy Christmas was this year! It is such a great time to celebrate the birth of Jesus and all that He came to do for us! We had a wonderful time with our families and celebrating everyone's birthdays (my mom, Granny turning 90 years old, and Jesus' b-day too). We went to Stillwater to visit my family on Friday, December 24th then headed to OKC to see Kris' family.

During our gift opening time at Grandma and Grandpa's, Ryan wasn't really into it. She helped Grandpa by sitting in his lap watching...then when bored with it headed into the corner of the living room to play with toys that her daddy and uncle used to have as kids. Not really that into it...at least not this year.
