It Only Comes Once a Year: The Month of June!

Yippy!!  This is my most favorite month of the entire year!!!  Also known as "The Month of Jenny"! Why do I love it so much?  Good question...it all began in 1977 when on June 29th I decided to be born...so that is most likely the root of the obsession for this month, however thru the years it has grown to be my favorite for a few of the following reasons:  

*my childhood memories:  getting Quick Trip slushies and nerds with my dad, playing outside in the  yard, going crawdad hunting at the stream by our home, playing in the sprinkler and on the slip-n-slide!, climbing the tree, skating around the driveway in my tutu...these are just a few.

*b-day parties as a kid and adult :)  My mom always made our b-days so special.  We got to wake up to a decorated home, eat on the "It's Your Special Day" plate, pick our breakfast and dinner, and so many more wonderful things she did each year to make it so memorable!  Thanks mom for truly showing me how treasured I am by making b-days special year after year!

*just the simple fact that it is SUMMER and all the memories that come with...

*my hubby's b-day is celebrated during this wonderful month (God knew how special June is)

*the weather...smells...carefree spirit of summer...

So, in a nutshell this is my love for the month of June...and to think that this June will also add to my list of summer memories and fun times.  Thank you Lord for this wonderful month!!  I love it!!
